Lasik Eye Surgery FAQ:

I’ve been diagnosed with nearsightedness since second grade. Being teased came along with wearing glasses and getting into fights at school; that was the first thing that was knocked from my face.

I am older now and wear contacts, however it would be nice one day if I could just wake up one morning…opening my eyes… to see.
I get emotional when I think about it.

I’m really sorry to hear about your eyes. My mom got lasik eye surgery about 5 years ago and it completely ruined what little eye sight she had. She woke up from surgery and knew it would take a few days to recover, and she waited and waited. Her eyes never got better, just worse. Now she cant even drive her car, she is legally blind. I’m not trying to scare you, just saying make sure you do alot of research and get someone who knows what they are doing and who has been doing it for a long time if you decide you really want to do this. Like I said, my mom did it 5 years ago, so maybe they have worked out all the kinks by now. Just be careful and be prepared that things might not go the way you hope and plan. Good luck what ever your decision!!!

I am looking for the same answers as I too am looking into Laser eye surgery.

I have checked the web and found this site to hold many answers.

Check it out but from what I can tell It’s pretty safe and only a very small percentage who need to wear glasses or contacts still afterwards.
