Lasik Eye Surgery FAQ:
Alright, I have no depth perception at all.
(That means everything I see is in 2-D, like a picture.)

Will Lasik eye surgery correct this ?
My doctor has always said there is a chance it might, but I just think he just dosn’t know and doesn’t want to admit it.
Also, I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, which is a connective tissue disorder in the Lupus family, and it effects healing.
I have never had a problem healing before, like when I had my wisdom teeth removed, but there is a good chance that I may not heal correctly.
If anyone is knoledgable about Lasik and 3-D vision or EDS please answer this !
Thank you very much in advance !

3D visual perception is referred to technically as stereo acuity. Stereo acuity is related to your brain’s ability to take visual input from both eyes and combine to to inputs into a single three dimensional view. If you do not have stereo acuity it simply means that your brain is not capable of listening to two eyes at once. I would not expect lasik to have any effect on your brain’s ability to perceive stereo acuity if it is not currently able to. Hope this helped.
