All procedures have risks and there are specific heated arguments about Lasik eye surgery.

Instead of putting it all in my own words, you can look into it here.

it depends on what problem you have in your eyes. For example if you are a highly nearsighter the risk are higher and lasik eye surgery might cause permanent damage, if it is low the risk is less and you can do it.

My son in law had it done about 5 years ago — now, he can’t see at night and he is back in his contacts and glasses again.

It was great for about 3 years, and then his sight slowly went right back to the way it was before the surgery, with the addition of night blindness.
