I haven’t had it. By law, you need to be 18 for some procedures, 21 for others. Also, your refractive error must be stable, that is, your prescription should not be changing frequently.
If you’re going to do it, you might as well do it in your 20s. If you wait until your 40s, there is much less of a benefit, because at that age you’ll start to develop presbyopia and you’ll need glasses to correct that, even if you’ve had LASIK.
Your early 20’s is ideal to have the procedure. You want to wait until after your 20th birthday as some have a landslide in RX change then. I had mine at 23 and am now 32. My vision is 20/20 in both eyes and has been since 2 days after Lasik! It is the best thing I ever did for myself. I was a -4.50 in both eyes. I could only see the BIG E on the chart =) Hahaha
